The Annie Skirt transforms our signature Lone Star print into a true heirloom-inspired quilted textile with a dramatic, feminine silhouette.

While garments made from antique quilts are treasured for their handcrafted charm, they are naturally limited by availability. This custom hand block print captures the visual rhythm of pieced patchwork and the subtle imperfections that give heirloom textiles their character, without relying on reclaimed quilts. Designed by Alli Marye and handcrafted in India, the Annie Skirt brings together two rich textile traditions in one design.

The shell fabric print is made by using hand-carved wooden blocks before being quilted with a generous layer of cotton batting and backed with natural cotton. The entire skirt is then lined with a lightweight cotton batiste, creating a garment that feels substantial while remaining comfortable to wear. There is something incredibly nostalgic about the weight and movement of Annie. It feels almost as though you're walking wrapped in your favorite quilt.

Cut in a full circle, Annie creates an extraordinary sweep with every step, turn, and twirl. The dramatic volume recalls the iconic quilted skirts in the movie Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, creating the illusion of a full petticoat while relying solely on thoughtful patternmaking and quilted structure.

The Annie skirt is as practical as it is beautiful. A hidden interior cotton drawstring allows the waistband to be cinched comfortably around your natural waist, creating the defined silhouette of a beautifully fitted 1950s skirt without the need for a belt. A metal zipper and covered button provide a clean, secure closure.  Wear it with a simple tank and sandals through the warmer months, then layer it with one of our signature sweaters and a jacket as the seasons change. Size and Fit Notes: The Annie Skirt features a fixed waistband with a hidden interior drawstring for a customizable fit. The full circle skirt provides generous room through the hips, making hip measurement less critical when selecting your size. We recommend choosing your size based on your natural waist measurement. The hidden interior drawstring allows you to cinch the waistband for a more customized fit. If you are between sizes, we recommend sizing up and adjusting the waist with the drawstring. Because of the weight of the full skirt, it may sit slightly lower than your natural waist depending on how you choose to wear it.
